A conversational look into film and the creation of the new wave of British Independent films that are changing the cinematic landscape. Each week will usually include a special guest.

ABOUT THE SHOW

CinemaPunk is a film and media-focused radio show based in the South-Essex region following the companies, teams, groups and individuals who make up this fast growing industry. The show will reveal information about upcoming movies and events in the region, as well as interview talent in the industry to give you an insight into the world of TV, Film and Cyberpunk as a genre.

News may include our own productions as well as feature individuals with whom we have, or are currently, working with. The show is designed as a discussion radio show and not a journalistic one, however we will indicate any potential conflicts of interest or areas of bias to accommodate a line of journalistic integrity throughout.

ABOUT INSIDE THE CYBERPUNK STUDIO

"Inside The Cyberpunk Studio" was based (very loosely) on Inside the Actor's Studio series from America. This name was dropped due to the passing of James Lipton (the host of Inside the Actor's Studio) in 2020, and to shorten the title to something punchier. Art assets were initially designed to imitate the packaging art for Inside The Actors Studio DVDs, however these wound up being replaced halfway through the season with more unique assets with a cleaner design.

This show was a mixing pot of ideas, including one-on-one interviews with people in the industry, a story and/or theme to the music choices and the oft ramblings of a madman on his views on Cyberpunk and film. Despite a steep learning curve audible sometimes in shows, we did manage a few feats - including the exclusive reveal and release of a treatment of the Headhunter cyberpunk-action movie of 2003 (see here).

This show included some fantastic industry guests, including frequent collaborator Alice Ryan (who also produced and starred in our 2019 short Human Cargo) and rising scriptwriter and star Samantha Anderson (runs her own company Ark Indie Productions and also starring in our 2019 short Human Cargo).

Ben Trebilcook visited us twice. Ben has worked in Los Angeles as a screenwriter, and gave us our exclusive on the Headhunter movie.

Ben Lettieri and Lliam Coker joined us on separate days to discuss their film work, with them also collaborating together on Lliam's feature film After Life.

This is a very varied season, with lots of trial and error but consistently entertaining and informative special guests and some exclusive content.
